Financial Manager Reporting


A privately owned insurance group that operates under two insurance licenses mainly short term and life is looking for a Finance Manager for their Group and Life division.JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTIONThe Financial Manager will be responsible for all internal and external financial reporting requirements, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual life divisional and entity inputs into Flash Results, Management accounts, Group Exco and Board packs. The Financial Manager will be responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, performing duties, and maintaining financial controls within the financial reporting environment and drive balance sheet controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring IFRS17 implementation and preparing consolidated annual financial statements.EDUCATIONThe successful candidate must have the following qualifications:CA (SA)JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREDAt least 4 years post article experience in a similar roleAt least 2 years financial management experienceExperience in the insurance industry is preferredWorking knowledge of accounting packages, systems and controls including reporting and budgeting Great Plains/HFM/Hyperion PlanningException business acumen and broad business knowledgeStakeholder managementAbility to work well under pressureIn depth knowledge of financial accounting and related processesWorking knowledge of IFRS 17Working knowledge of consolidationsAnalytical thinking skillsApply Now!
