Position OverviewData Strategist acts as consultant subject matter experts, guardians of our high standards, and inspiring, relevant leaders for the practitioners in their team. While teams organize their work effort in cross-functional squads drawing from multiple practice areas, our peoples professional development, peer community and the development of their domain skills is managed through the Systems Intelligence UnitThe Data Strategist must be a master of their chosen craft but also an expert coach, manager of people and consummate collaborator comfortable working in a matrix structure across complex and varied patterns and passionate about bringing out the best in people.Key ResponsibilitiesThought leadership in their field continually challenging the way we work, researching and proposing new techniques, encouraging collaboration and cross-pollination between SquadsCreating a sense of permanent belonging and fellowship across the SIU division and an agile, vibrant, and flexible environment conducive to sharing and trustCo-management of the SIU team alongside the Measurement Lead & Head of Data. This will include structuring the team effectively and recruiting and retaining the very best talent in the marketWorking in close partnership with our global SIU teams to identify and localize products that work for local clientsBuilding and nurturing relevant partnerships to make sure we contribute to and learn from the broader ecosystemThe Data Strategist acts as a critical steward of best practice for the management of data in all its forms and serves as a trusted advisor to internal and external teams.Partnership ManagementData Partners: Negotiations, Relationship Management, InnovationData Platforms: Co-development opportunities, roadmap feedback / prioritization, Data policy changesData Procurement: RFI management and contract managementData Ethics and GovernanceContract / diligence process design and facilitationUnderstand the impact of regulation and technical implicationsRepresent the companies Data and Tech in the Readiness Program Working GroupsDefine and communicate data ethics news with agency teamsKnowledge CommunityBest practices and guidance, defining and driving the vision with broad reach and credibility acrossdisciplinesKeep theteam at the cutting edge of data developments, regulation, trends and risks and drive futureinsight programs for the organization, for example the future of identityProduct SupportData governance reviews, setting standards for new product launches which involve PII.Manage dataas a strategic asset and operationalize data governance, promoting data quality and other controlsDesired Experience7+ years as a data driven marketing practitioner or data strategist with expertise in Ad and MarTechstrategyDeep understanding of the digital marketing ecosphere (DSP, DMP, SSP), TV and traditionalmarketing methods and strategiesWorking in a partnership role with commercial teamsActive participation in a cross-functional, agile team distributed around a global networkData privacy and regulation, including with legal and technical experts
