Human Resources Practitioner Jonathan Ball Publishers, a division of Media24 (Pty) Ltd, is looking for a Human Resources Practitioner to report to the Human Resources Manager. The incumbent will be based in Denver (Johannesburg).Key responsibilities:Provide an effective recruitment and selection service to line management.Advise line and staff on employee relations issues, implement and coordinate disciplinary and grievance resolution processes and assist with consultation processes as required, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Coordinate all payroll input documentation monthly, including documentation related to new employees and terminations, salary adjustments, changes to benefits, and any other instructions that affect the monthly payroll.Coordinate the implementation of the biannual performance review exercise and advise line management on processes and issues involved.Identify training needs across departments and provide feedback to line management about training requirements and suitable training providers.Coordinate training interventions as required.Monitor and maintain the accuracy of employee information on the HR information system to allow for accurate monthly reporting.Assist the HR Manager with all aspects of employment equity and skills development reporting, which could include maintaining accurate records, facilitating forums, collating data, education of line managers and employees, etc.Assist the HR Manager with monthly reports as and when required.Ensure general HR administration is completed accurately and timeously.Conduct exit interviews to facilitate analysis of retention trends.Assist with the on-boarding of new employees, including induction programmes, documentation, etc.Implement and communicate wellness programmes and ensure that health and safety policies are applied.Ad hoc duties as required.Skills and competencies:Trustworthiness in working with confidential and sensitive dataChange management, influence and relationship building abilityExcellent customer focus and results orientationA sense of urgency coupled with a high degree of attention to detailIntegrityAssertiveness and conflict resolution skillsWell-developed Interpersonal skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsBusiness acumenThe ideal candidate:Has 2-4 years HR experience in a generalist HR capacityHas a strong IR background with a proven track record of successIs in possession of an HR, Labour Law or Industrial/ Organisational psychology diploma or degree.Has knowledge of labour legislation, particularly BCEA, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act and Skills Development Act;Solid knowledge of general administrative processes;Solid knowledge of HR principles, processes and procedures;Is computer literate in the MS Office SuiteThe position offersa stimulating and varied work environment as part of a vibrant teama competitive salary with benefitsEvery application has to be accompanied by aclear indication of your salary expectations, as well as details of three recentreferees.For more information about Jonathan Ball Publishers please visit our website: Jonathan Ball Publishers Applicants who have not received a reply within one month of the closing date may assume that their application has been unsuccessful.
