Job DescriptionJob Purpose:Manage the Southern Africa Cluster Commercial Operations and Sales team in order to deliver Sales and maximize Business.To project a positive image through which the company can live to its vision, mission and broader strategic objectives.The Territory Manager achieves the above by developing and implementing the Cluster strategies in the Southern Africa Cluster markets, including but not limited to Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique Zambia, Zimbabwe,Major Accountabilities:Analyze & synthesize information from multiple sources to identify and prioritize opportunities, applying relevant frameworks Accountable for collaboration with key accounts, marketing / product managers and medical advisers, securing strategy implementation outlined in the product strategies and operational plans for the ClusterAnalyze developments in the market, competitor activity, Private and Public sectors landscape and recommend strategies to ensure the ongoing success of the Cluster Identify, Co-create and drive the implementation of initiatives that improve patients access, secure sales, optimize resource, minimize costs, and grow patient acquisition and profitability for the Cluster Planning promotion activities, customer database analyses and preparation and execution of campaigns/cycles definitionsPromote a compliance culture in the Cluster and territories by ensuring adequate controls are in place. French/Portuguese a plus.Experience/Professional Requirement: Min 5 years of related pharmaceutical Sales experience and minimum 3 years of Marketing or Regional Sales responsibilityStrategic planning experience & Sales vs BudgetStrong analytical approach, business research and stakeholder managementExcellent understanding of marketing & sales processes in the pharmaceutical business Experience with operations excellence Key Performance Indicators:Monthly review and discussion of Country's Financial performance vs. targetMonthly Field Excellence evaluation on Reps performance and planMonitor commercial strategy execution and manage relationships with key stakeholders such as, distributors, pharmacies, hospitals, HCPsApply knowledge of tender landscape, supporting the tender team and product reachProactively Collaborate with internal x-functional team to ensure a comprehensive view of the markets trends is integrated into overall planningDrive quarterly operational review meetings with all key markets and yearly in-depth reviewsAssure compliance with the company policies and procedures Division PHARMA Business Unit Global Health PH Location South Africa Site Gauteng Company / Legal Entity Novartis SA (Pty) Ltd.
