Description Business Development Manager (Logistics) Johannesburg Area / GAUTENGOur client, a national and market leader in logistics and transport is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to join their team.Job FunctionBusiness development, market research, client relationships and data analysis.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:New business development and lead generationIdentifying new markets, clients and industry opportunitiesIdentifying market trends in conjunction with the organizations group business development strategyScouting for and identifying relevant tender opportunitiesData analysis determining volume, throughput and the network infrastructure required for new business opportunitiesBusiness Case Formulation:Development of a logistics solutions business case by utilising leading business intelligence softwareFeasibility studies of identified opportunities considering value, profitability, and capital investment within the context of the existing business strategy of the organization Management of:Sales processes and reportingImplementation of target-driven sales processesAssembling and submission of tender processesCoordination of daily transport enquiriesAccurate and timeous completion and submission of reportsCRM (Software) reports on head offices business developmentMaintenance of renewals and RFP/RFQ schedules of existing contractsUpdating and maintenance of annual escalation schedules of existing clientsAnnual rate reviews / negotiations within context of financial performance, budget, escalation formulas and financial indicesContinues improvement, including current best practice and relevant case study implementationClient relationships, with a clear understanding of the clients business and their requirementsStrategy development for clients in conjunction with the other organizations within the group companiesRelations with key figures and decision-makers within the clients company structureQualifications requiredBCom Logistics, Logistics Management, BEng (Industrial), or a similar degreeMinimum 3 years management experienceMinimum 5 years experience in primary transport or warehousing / secondary distributionSAPICS CSCP certification will be an advantageSkills and experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication, including business presentations and reporting, project overviews and feedback, and public speakingDecision-makingMeeting of deadlinesDiscretion in decision-making abilityAttention to detailOrganisingPeople Management / LeadershipCosting and calculationsBudgetingLeadershipProficient knowledge of relevant computer softwareAnalyticsSalary Negotiable depending on experiencePlease send CV + Salary Requirements to Marlene on ******Salary:RNegotiableId Subtitle
