Head of Program Delivery: Multi Disciplinary Large Scale IT Project ExperienceIsilumko StaffingJohannesburg, South AfricaSenior8 to 10 yearsCost to companyContractSkillsProgram Management Agile Managing Relationships with VendorsBankingDescriptionHead: Program Delivery: Digital Payment Project: Banking: 1 year FTCTo drive the build and implementation of all IT deliverables within timeframe, scope, and budget for an allocated program within Digital Business Services across all business linesPeople:Build a high-performance team through managing resources and retention of critical staff to match strategic business requirements.Coach, mentor & upskill individuals by engaging with them to determine their aspirations and drive the obtainment of these goals as far as possible within the Bank.Create, run, and reward/incentivize cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams across country, segment, and capabilities, for the purpose of tilting the organization to the client, and presenting this information in an auditable manner to both the internal and external market, using Agile methodology and principles.Maintain a succession plan for the team by reviewing the skills of the team at least twice a year and having career conversations with themEnsure that disciplinary action and grievances are addressed and aligned to the Client policies and procedures.Manage the performance of the team members by conducting performance appraisals, development discussions and regular coaching discussions to ensure each team member is performing their individual roles as required.Motivate managers in the area to set the example on living the values and recognitionData:Need to interface on a continuous basis between relevant stakeholders, e.g., program Heads, IT and business in order to ensure common understanding of the delivery timelines and manage expectations accordingly.Lead multi-disciplinary squads to deliver the program objectives and carry line manager responsibilities in the work for cross-functional team members (e.g., Credit, IT, Risk, Finance).Provide guidance and information in the sizing and sequencing of technical components required to build the Minimum Viable Propositions (MVP) across the programCheck that solutions are scalable and reusable across multiple products on a single platform.Check that all technical builds meet requirements across business lines (e.g. feature builds may need to differ between Commercial Banking, CIB and Wealth due to different product codes used; different customer risk groups may attract charges or be discounted which differs across business lines and portfolios within business lines).Present progress updates to relevant Steerco and seek sign-off where required (e.g., NABPPS when feature parity between SAP and legacy systems could be eroded).Manage conflicting priorities (e.g. integrating modernized products on SAP with the new digital bank platform) and negotiate customer priorities with various stakeholders i.e. Client Solutions, Business Solutions and IT in order to ensure delivery cadence without compromising customer service.Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance:Confirm all new processes / changes to the existing process (before being scaled) are clearly understood.Manage the technical risk and ensure that the build is aligned to risk and compliance requirements.Confirm the relevant risk and compliance assessments take place at all stages of development, for presentation at the PBB IT RCC.Product:Confirm that the sequencing of the technical solution build is completed and ensure the implementation timelines are realistic and balanced against the business requirements.Provide input into the demo visualization completed by the Design team (i.e. CX, UI, UX). Provides input into the sizing of the features and components.Manage the dependencies between the platform (i.e. teams who build common features) business and IT teams.Together with the Head, Business Solution ensure that business objectives are clearly articulated and prioritized for IT build.Prioritize the backlog in agreement with the Head, Business Solution and ensure that they are actively managed to scope and qualityTechnology & Architecture:Confirm testing is completed with the relevant quality Clients before scaling.Hold the delivery and technical team accountable to deliver and build against the agreed plan and ensure deviations are raised upfront and managed appropriately to not compromise on time, scope, budget, and customer requirements.Continually identify and prioritize solutions with the Head, Business Solution based on changes to the programReview the test scenarios and ensure they are aligned to the MVP solution build - provides test data where required.Identify, document, and share lessons learnt with relevant stakeholders to improve knowledge and experience of the program. This is done through retrospectives.Raise any blockers during the technical inception and MVP build phases and ensure mitigation plans are put in place or devises solutions to resolve the blockers.Manage the relationship between business and IT to ensure the build of the MVP solutions is within the agreed timelines.Socialize all relevant IT stakeholders about the solutions and target state journey to address any questions and concerns (e.g., risk and compliance).Test plans and ensure that timelines are realistic and meet business unit and customer requirements.Manage the flow and velocity of delivery of solutions and raise any risks if timelines are jeopardized.Communicate any deviations from the development and build plans and ensure mitigation actions are in place.Client:Deliver the target state and solutions within agreed timelines, in conjunction with the Head, Business Solution.Monitor that the program is delivered within time, budget, and scope, leading to successful implementation and adoption of solutions by customers and staff to ensure improved NPS scores.Provide input into the business baseline assessment and is accountable for the IT baseline assessment for the digital banking services program and bring in future thinking, research and innovation that can be incorporated in the programConfirm that IT provide the technical input into determining the feasibility of delivering the MVP and provide the necessary assurance in this respect.Confirm that the technical solution architecture and design is conducted and is in line with business and customer requirements (whilst adhering to relevant technology Clients).Define the execution plan for the allocated digital banking services program from a technical delivery perspective and in alignment with the Client Journey's. i.e. the technical delivery, orchestration of the business and technical teams and co-ordination of all the business, stakeholder and IT resources to ensure delivery against the plan.Confirm that the features are grouped into solutions and prioritizes according to customer requirements to deliver against the target state journey aligned to strategic, customer, technical and financial outcomes.Analyze feedback received from customers and staff regarding the scaled solutions and ensure these are communicated back to the IT community to jointly devise solutions for these issues raised.Manage the defects management and incident management process once solutions are scaled.Experience Required: 8+ Years experienceExperience in implementing business transformation programs in a financial services organization, delivering business value, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and managing IT projects. Experience in effectively managing relationships across the value chain, delivering multiple large-scale IT projects(From conception to delivery) simultaneously. Strong financial background and good technical / IT understanding.
