A Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualification (CIPS), would be an added advantage.ExperienceGeneral Experience:Wide and deep experience providing expert competence (Over 10 years to 15 years).Managerial Experience: Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework. (Over 6 years to 10 years)DutiesBuying: Oversee the identification and selection of suppliers and negotiations with them on product selection, availability and price for a large category of products.Supplier & Internal Customer Management: Manage relationships with strategic suppliers and internal customers and act as a business partner to them. Likely to involve using large account teams to ensure customer satisfaction.Contract Management: Manage the delivery of a major part of the organization's contract management program while taking personal responsibility for a limited number of missioncritical contracts.Processes and Procedure Development & Implementation: Develop functional or operational processes and procedures and help develop frameworks for area of responsibility or department. Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation.Procurement : Manage a portfolio of major procurement programs in line with overall procurement strategy.Building Capability: Implement the formal development framework for a team, with guidance from senior colleagues. Assesses market competition by comparing the companys product to competitors offerings. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure Optimise sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency. Market Growth. Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and / or product changes. Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements, preparing ROI analysis, establishing time schedules for market introduction. Introduces and markets new products by developing time integrated plans with the commercial, marketing and production teams. Reliable and sustainable suppliers / principles and supply .
