Safcol: Manager: Strategic Sourcing

Role MandateTo develop strategic sourcing capability through the development of sourcing strategy and strategic plans, through integrated involvement of all supply chain stakeholders, to meet the companys strategic objectives based on procurement best practices.key responsibilities- Develop, align and implement a commercially effective strategic commodity sourcing framework for high spend commodities and materials, across SAFCOL- Align SAFCOLs strategic sourcing framework to the Global Procurement Strategies- Develop and manage the strategy to maximise revenue from the sale of by-products and redundant assets through environmentally friendly practices- Conduct strategic sourcing projects/activities on behalf of all participating Divisions in order to deliver quantitative benefits, including gathering spend and specification information, preparing tender/Request for Quotations-- Management of bidding process, advertising and receiving of bids, conducting pre-compliance evaluation and act as an advisor and member to the Bid Evaluation Committee- Facilitate and co-ordinate the negotiation process Requirements- A Degree/NQF Level 7 in Supply Chain Management or Equivalent- Post Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage- Charted Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) will be an added advantage- A minimum of 5 years experience of which 3 years must be at management level in public sector SCMSourcing experience in public services industry- Working knowledge of PPPFA, PFMA, BBBEE Codes of Good Practice and National Treasury RegulationsExperience in public sector SCM, experience in Public Sector Bid/Strategic - Sourcing Management will be an added advantage- PFMA and PPPFA working experience will be an added advantage- BBBEE Codes of Good Practice will be an added advantage- Valid drivers licence
