Quality Assurance Supervisor – Paarden Eiland

Main Purpose of the Position.Ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. Responsible for developing quality standards (implementing with supplier), inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues. The goal is to assure the high quality of our operations and services aiming to the long-term success of our business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Developing, and Maintaining, Quality Standards: Work closely with Art Department to design and develop standards for all item cards and spec sheetsEnsuring all suppliers are aware of and comply with product specification standards briefing sheets / training, as requiredCommunicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections / production runsAssure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final outputDevising procedures to inspect and report quality assurance issues Implementing quality checks for all production processes: For each supplier ensure production outputs meet quality standardsWork closely with Production to guide and assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final outputTrain production teams and put in place relevant measures to ensure standards are metWork closely with each Logistics to ensure quality protocol is met prior to shippingSupervise and guide production personnel or technicians, where neededAssess customer service feedback to ensure requirements, where expectations are not met for quality, are being metDevise procedures to inspect and report quality issues Data Analysis and Reporting: Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate actionFacilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality dataReview current standards and policiesKeep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentationEnsure all legal standards are met Ongoing checks with quality control team: Understand quality control issue and update standards, where necessary or work closely with Buyer to ensure supplier terms are adhered to (non payments, rebates etc)Any other duties as instructed by Head of Buying / CPO Minimum requirementsExperience 3-5 years Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or relevant roleExtensive Product knowledge of Company productsExtensive knowledge of Quality Systems & proceduresQuality inspection, auditing and testing experienceExperience with implementation of corrective action programsProduct or industry-specific experienceKnowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QASolid experience in effective usage of data analysis tools and statistical analysisStrong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.Good knowledge of manufacture processes relating to different materialsThorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards, relevant regulatory requirements Education MatricMS OfficeCertification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO etc.)Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma Skills Computer literacy -Excellent knowledge of MS OfficeExcel Excel formulasCommunication, writing and speaking Able to influence and motivateQuality Systems & procedures -Advanced understanding of quality control standards & techniquesReporting and administration.
