Travel Cruise Finance Consultant


Description The ideal candidate would be someone who either has experience as a consultant or who has been exposed to the consultant environment. Someone that understands logistics, pax numbers, who is not scared of Contracts and numbers and is able to load bookings into a reservation system and can balance the System with invoices. etc.The candidate that has had experience in a similar role or as a Cruise Finance Consultants will know the impoertance and critical link between operations and Finance and who is comfortable with understanding Operational finance processes, supplier and agent statements, invoices and being able to do re-cons on a bookings as wel as load bookings into our reservations system off excel spreadsheets etc.Consultant Experience not necessary guest facing or itinerary planning but definitely someone with an understanding of logistics, pax numbers, vehicles, being able to understand excel. As they will be required to load bookings into Travel studio off of an excel spreadsheet.Having an understanding of Operational Finance, reading contracts, understanding charging policies, being able to match supplier invoices with rates in the system etc.They must not be scared of Numbers or finance.Able to adjust and stay calm in stressful times and take instruction well without having to be handheld on the execution thereofMain Areas of Focus:Accurately Loading of all Cruise bookings into Travel Studio Software for the Cruise operations Team.File and save information in the correct place both electronically and manually.Liaise with the Operations Team on numbers for Pre/Post and Overlands and adjust in the Travel Studio bookings as necessary.Update and override rates in Travel Studio to match agreed negotiated rates received from Suppliers.Update pax numbers, and all services in Travel Studio based on sign off sheets.Close off Travel Studio bookings.Resolving all invoice queries received by the finance team.Fulfilling all Operations reporting requirements weekly and as required.Fulfilling all Finance team reporting requirements weekly and as required.Supporting the Finance team with all Operations queries.Working Closely with the Travel Studio Database team to ensure all Public Liability Insurance and Heath and Safety standards are met for Cruise product.Updating bookings and rates as and when required by the business.Ensuring that all files Actual and Forecasts balance.Supporting the Johannesburg Finance co-ordinator as and when required.Previous Experience & Skills Required:Minimum of Matric.Good English communication and writing skills.Good Administration Skills.Min 4 years Financial / Operations experience within the Travel industry.Team player.Intermediate Excel skills, Microsoft Word and Outlook.Effective Time Management.Deadline driven.Attention to Detail.Good with nu.special-hidden { display: none; }Id Subtitle
