Senior Care Assistant Night Shift
Job Summary Senior Care AssistantTo professionally lead the care team during any span of duty, ensuring that a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of the residents. To provide care to residents in accordance with their assessed needs to a high standard.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for administering medication to 22 residents and writing up daily reports on each shift. Experience of dealing with and managing emergency situations is essential and you must have previous experience managing a small team of care staff. We are looking for someone who is prepared to lead by example and understands that team work is key.Skills & ExperienceExperience of leading a small team (3-4 staff).Good people management skillsGood communication skills both written and verbal.Ability to plan, allocate and delegate work appropriately.Will take responsibility for issues and resolve them.Able to cope in difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.QualificationsOur Senior Care assistants must hold a minimum of an SVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification, however candidates with an SVQ 2 will be considered if they have relevant experience of a senior role and are prepared to work towards their SVQ 3.Previous experience of working Nightshift is preferable, however this is not essential.Medicine administration experience is essential.
