Fund Administrator - Group Risk Administrator - International Clients


Role: Administrator Context: Based in Johannesburg or Cape TownOwn internet (preferably fibre) is a requirementAdministration of Group Risk business across various territories and regulatory environmentsProducts, systems, processes and proceduresLiason with internal stakeholders as well as certain partner stakeholdersReporting to: ManagerTeam focussedOperational and servicing environmentGeneralAll processes to be carried in line with process guidelines and service levelagreements in line with treaties and policy documents. Outputs to be providedtimeously and accurately.Scheme AdministrationLoading of new schemes, benefit changes and renewals onto the administrationplatform. This includes scheme and benefit information as well as member data,which needs to be prepared in Microsoft Excel.Preparing of installation or renewal packs including policy schedules to reflect the scheme information and benefits and other required documentation in Microsoft wordEnsuring data is reconciled upon receipt and loaded into the system timeously and accuratelyManagement of membership and payroll information, ensuring policy system is up to date.Where data is received on an ad-hoc basis and schemes pay annually calculation and communication of adjustment premiums is required to the in-country insurer.Calculation and reconcilation of global broker feesTerminate schemes on system and prepare and issue off-risk letters.Claim Administration Assessing documentation for claims against minimum claim requirementsAssessment of death and funeral claims against policy terms and conditionsCalculating the value of the claim to be paid and loading this value onto the administration platformManagement of claims process and engagement with multiple stakeholdersExtraction and or preperation of claims experience, as well as reasonability checks on these extractsUnderwritingExtraction and editing of underwriting letters to be sent to the incountry insurers after each upload, installation renewal or benefit change is completed.Checking of underwriting documents received from employees to ensure completeness before sending to the medical team for assessment.Loading of additional requirements into the system and extracting and editing letters in respect of these requirements to be sent to the incountry insurer.Engagement with key stakeholders as required.Outputs:ReportingPreparation of administration reports which can be shared with multinational clients at a head office or central broker level.Completion of multinational data collection templates required for renewal approval from the reinsurance pools and captives.Collate quotations from multiple territories into a single quotation report to be shared with central brokersCommunicationCommunicate with clients, service providers, sales team and other internal and external stakeholders in terms of queries, complaints or any other requirements in atimely, polite and professional mannerMaintain good relationships with all partiesLiaise with auditors for any administration queriesLiaise with and assist the reinsurance administrator to prepare and or reconcile the contents of bordereaux received from in-country insurers.Checking Training new staff and or reporting staff on system, process, etc when required.Other System testing when system changes are made.Develop an understanding of multiple treaties in territories and their purposeDevelop an understanding of the in-country insurer relationships to ensure seamlessadministrationCustomers PolicyholdersInsured membersBeneficiariesIntermediariesInsurersReinsurersService ProvidersGeneral insurance industryCompetencies Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) with MathematicsCOP (IISA) AdvantageousBcom AdvantageousExperience in an Africa-based insurance company is recommended to ensureunderstanding of in-country insurers, reinsurance arrangements, etc.Strong understanding of the financial services industryExperience in Group Risk advantageousIntermediate ExcelIntermediate WordGood working knowledge of user software (Adobe, PowerPoint, Outlook)Minimum of 5 years experience in policy administration, servicing and claims assessment environmentOutputscontd:Skills AnalyticalOrganisedPatience and ability to communicate with foreign territories where there may be language barriers.
