Financial Manager – Cape Town


FINANCIAL MANAGER – CAPE TOWN – R, – R, per annum My client is looking to appoint a Financial Manager to focus on various special projects and implementations. The position is based at the Cape Town office, reporting to the Financial Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for projects aimed at improving the company’s financial performance in key areas by applying accounting principles and specific business management practices. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Working to improve capital cycles, with specific focus on invoicing and cash collection procedures - Implementation of improved stock control procedures - Working with Financial Director on implementation of new T&A systems - Working with the current finance team on costing efficiencies on large ongoing projects, including negotiating best pricing and payment terms with suppliers and contractors - Work with the current finance team to improve reporting times of branch accounts - General oversight and administration management of the Cape Town office - Management of labour brokers and pricing - Any further tasks of strategic nature as required by the Executive REQUIREMENTS • Minimum CIMA or CA(SA) – not negotiable • Experience in an operational and business environment, with international exposure seen as an advantage • ERP Experience (SAP / Syspro / Sage / Infor / JDE / Microsoft) • Strong skills in management of teams and projects • Candidate must be willing to travel to the company’s business units as and when required • High levels of integrity • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills • Sound verbal and written communication skill
