Parts Salesman

Position Description The main purpose of the job is to provide a professional parts sales service to both internal and external customers.Reporting: This position reports to the Team Leader.Job Objectives:Client liaison Build good relationship between the Company and the Customer.Ensure zero customer complaints.Receive sales order from client.Timeous processing of parts sales.Preparation of quotes and invoices.Ensure quotations, customer orders & invoices are correctly filed at all times.Placing urgent orders from central warehouse.Ensure the Invoice register is up to date at all times.Distributing backorder parts to relevant customers.Ensure parts catalogue is up to date at all times.Monitor delivery and collection of parts to customers.Monitor picking of customer invoices.Follow up on V.O.R orders from customers and give feedback.Assisting with stock take procedures when required.Perform standby duties and work overtime when required.Achieve Sales Targets/ KPIs.Assisting in all parts operations where requested.Create and maintain Customer Base.Daily follow-up on customers.Obtaining or securing new business where possible.Compliance to ISO and Safety.Ensure the Safety Act and Regulations are adhered to.Qualifications:Matric.Experience:Computer Literate.Previous experience in a Parts Retail environment.A technical background would be an advantage.Key Competencies:Customer focused.Good communication.Attention to detail.Work well under pressure.Good administrative ability.Take initiative.Team player.Honesty and integrity.Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is an affirmative action, equal employment opportunity employer.
