Group Leader, Center Of Excellence

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Group Leader for the Centre of Excellence (COE) of chromatography, mass spectrometry and trace elemental analysis. This regional role is based in Singapore but will lead team members based in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan; all focused on providing product specific application support and training; as a key partner of the Regional Commercial Director, he/she will be required to support the CMD commercial organization to meet or exceed the annual sales targets for Southeast Asia & Taiwan region.Key responsibilities of the COE Group Leader are to drive operational excellence for:All outbound pre-/post-sales support activities by teamRegional demo labs in terms of maintenance, safety compliance and audits, supplies replenishmentAsset management and utilization for demos, system evaluations, trainings, workshops, practical courses and collaboration projectsAll expenditure for lab and support operations. The Group Leader is expected to provide the team, relevant guidance in customer engagement, crisis management and customized approaches for teams individual technical competency development for all CMD products and solutionsKey Deliverables:Lead team and drive all sales support activities across the entire CMD product portfolioLead team and manage all post-sales support activities across the entire CMD product portfolioManage all demo labs resources and expenditure in accordance to annual allocated budgetMaximize the ROI of demo resources including demo assets and suppliesManage and optimize all pre- and post-sales support activities; continuously seek improvements and elevate quality of services to customersConduct periodic customer feedback to gauge customer experience at all install sitesConnect with other COE geo-centers to share best practices and competitive technical know-howWork with team to develop high impact training programs and courses; conduct periodic reviewsSupport and mentor team in both customer engagement skillsets and technical competencyChart and track individual development program for team members; conduct regular reviewsProvide quarterly review updates to Commercial Partner; participate in regional business reviewsPossess an affable personality, able to engage and influence internal stakeholders and customersExpected to travel up to 25% of work time, within Southeast Asia and Taiwan region (when travel is permitted)Qualifications:Proven practical experience in chromatographic instrumentation (LC, GC), and/or mass spectrometry, and/or trace elemental analysis techniques. Minimum of 8 years hands-on work experienceBachelors Degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalentDemonstrates good oral & written communication skills in English (Mandarin would be a plus)Proven people management skillset, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment to demonstrate the benefits of our products/solutions to customers Prior experience working in a matrix organization dealing with distributors and other internal stakeholders will be advantageous
