Senior Transport Coordinator
Client based in Lutterworth is seeking an individual with experience in a busy transport operation to work and lead a small team.The role is based in the office and warehouse environment and involves:Maintaining and improving service levelsImproving/implementing processes and procedures within the transport officeEnsure the fleet is road worthy, compliant and visible for all shiftsBriefing & de-briefing driversBooking agency resource/hire vehicles within budgetMonitoring drivers time sheets to ensure they are adhering to the working time directiveLogging and following through breakdowns, accidents & defects
Candidate must be computer literate, have good transport knowledge including the procedures and processes needed to run a busy transport office.Ideally they will have some experience of either team leader or supervisor to take the lead during some shifts.
The role will involve shift working but no weekend work. Shifts are 6am to 2pm and 10am To 6pm 2 weeks on and then rotate
