A great opportunity has become available for a reliable Resource Controller to join a regional company recognised for developing and training its staff to succeed in their roles based in Horsham. You will join us on a part-time or full-time,permanentbasis, working 32 - 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Our client is an expanding construction and maintenance company focused on delivering exceptional service to its clients and customers across the south of England. Our client employ over 330 staff across the South of England.

About theResource Controller role:

Horsham District Councils asset maintenance contract has created an opportunity for the business to manage all of the District Councils properties ranging from industrial premises to a cinema/theatre and museums. Their team is responsible for the planned preventative maintenance of all of the councils assets as well as providing quality reactive fabric, mechanical and electrical repairs to the properties.

You will be required to supervise your team ensuring efficient and effective logistical management and resourcing of trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors to meet repair appointments and achieve their purpose of the right repair and the right time

Key responsibilities as their Resource Controller will include:

  • Manage PPM Controller to ensure this is effectively forward planned, ensuring resource in place, task sheets followed, service sheet populated and all remedials identified rectified and carried to contract.
  • Manage WIP including supporting sourcing required resource, programming and scoping work to meet service level agreement and ensuring FES and the Resource Controller are kept updated.
  • Allocate the right operatives, based on skills, availability, and locality to the jobs, based on priority, to ensure they meet appointment times and minimize downtime.
  • Plan for future jobs and appointments anticipating capability to meet the demand through resourcing of operatives and sub-contractors raising any concerns with the Contract Manager.
  • Ensure the team are recording and updating Job Management Systems, Client Repairs and Property Databases, and any other system(s) used to deliver the service, in a timely and accurate way.
  • Constantly monitor the appointment screens and statuses to identify potential issues before they happen supervising and supporting the team to make the correct decisions to rectify and own the issue through to resolution pulling on the Supervisors/Foreman or Service Manager if required.

What they are looking for in their Resource Controller:

  • GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • NVQ 3/BTEC or equivalent in Business Administration/Studies or Customer Services (Desirable)
  • Ideally have a full clean driving licence
