My client is a multi-award-winning construction and integrated support services business, with over 40 years' experience. They deliver design and build projects typically ranging between £4mill and £25mill. Due to an increase in projects, they require a Planner to join their team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regular monthly visits to site to conduct independent reviews of progress against Contract and Target programmes (identification of critical delays)
  • Ability to identify programme issues, and produce commentary, analysis, and corrective (mitigating) measures
  • Gathering of information from site team, subcontractors, design team etc for progress reporting / programme development
  • Creation from first principles of Target Programmes / Short Term Programmes (as necessary)
  • Liaison with site team to ensure all works are accurately reflected in the programme scope
  • Identification of major quantities, constraints, logistics, design, procurement times, and other factors affecting programme
  • Recording of additional programme related information such as Built data, output rates, delay / disruption events etc


  • Ideally 5+ years as a planner
  • Site experience essential (ie not solely tender planning experience)
  • Residential experience preferred
  • Good working knowledge of planning & project control methodologies
  • Team player, while also retaining ability to act independently
  • Knowledge of JCT Contracts
  • Driving licence (mobility to travel to sites as required)
  • Relevant CSCS card
