Commercial Director

The Organisation
My client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed business based in Leicestershire. They are fast-moving and are always looking to adapt and innovate as to how they approach their market, which is why they are now looking for the right Commercial Director to join them in a newly created role to help them continue along their growth path. The Role
As Commercial Director you will devise and implement a sales strategy that aligns with the organisational goals and is supportive of a collaborative, data-led approach to driving value for the organisation's stakeholders, partners and customers. You will lead a team in owing the B2B sales strategy coupled with the operational sales plan. You will take ownership of departmental budgets and work closely with the Heads of CRM and Data & Insights to develop opportunities for the use of data to improve partner & customer performance, revenues and to inform the product development process. You will oversee the evolution of customer relationship management, and become an expert and thought leader in the market. You will also work closely with the Marketing Director in order to ensure maximum coverage, and to make sure all engagement and customer acquisition tools are used, and that a consistent pipeline of commercial opportunities is maintained.

The Candidate
The successful Commercial Director will:
- have experience of devising and implementing a sales strategy in a complex B2B "Service" marketplace
- be data-led in their approach and able to shape propositions and go to market strategies to maximise return
- be collaborative in approach and be comfortable working with all internal stakeholders (CEO / CFO / Marketing Director / Digital & CRM / Insights)
- be empathetic to the market the organisation supports and be a real "people person" / leader
- ideally have experience of the affiliate marketing industry or working within a member-led organisation
