Location: Waltham Cross, Herts

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with some flexibility to meet demands of the business)

Core Hours 0700 – 1500 (however some flexibility to suit successful candidate needs)

The role of the Buyer is to procure the required goods for Reynolds and its subsidiaries, whilst being responsible for maximising the long-term profitability of a wide category of products, achieving budgeted income & term targets. Furthermore, you'll ensure the business remains highly competitive in establishing successful supplier partnerships.


  • Adhere to the overall procurement strategies.
  • Identifying potential suppliers, visiting, and meeting existing suppliers, building, and maintaining relationships
  • Negotiate best price on key product categories ensuring quality and technical requirements are met.
  • Managing suppliers, relationships, both home and abroad.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, Logistics and Quality teams.
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure delivery requirements are met.
  • Research and Source new products
  • Participate in daily internal communication

Measured KPI’s:

  • Purchase price variance (PPV)
  • Cost reduction
  • NPD
  • Vendor assessment

To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience.

  • Previous management work experience in Procurement (ideally at least 5 years), preferably in a FMCG environment.
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience from the wholesale or food sectors.
  • Strong Negotiator in a fair and ethical manner.
  • Strong commercial and market awareness
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
