Online Merchandising Assistant

Our client is a rapidly growing retailer with over 180 stores in the UK and a growing online and international business. They have opened over 30 new UK stores in the past two years and have ambitious plans for further growth including partnership retail models. They are massively customer centric and really care about their people, customers and the communities in which they trade in.

They are now looking for an Online Merchandising Assistant. Reporting into the Online Merchandising & Content Manager and working within the online planning team the Online Merchandising Assistant will be executing engaging content across our two websites. You will be excited at the thought of bringing our amazing brands to life and delighting customers with a best-in-class customer journey. As Online Merchandising Assistant you will be a proven user of digital analytics who is ready to encourage and develop a test and learn approach while communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities – Online Merchandising Assistant

- Optimise landing pages to delivery best in class customer experiences.

- Own the on-site search and navigation experience and product categorisation for your categories.

- Define and implement cross-sell and up-sell strategies.

- Build and execute homepage execution working with key stakeholders to ensure relevant and engaging content.

- Lead the briefing, delivery and execution of campaign content for digital activations.

- Using analytics tools to measure and review site and content performance.

- Maintain awareness of competitor activity and developments.

- Build and maintain relationship across internal teams.

Desired Skills – Online Merchandising Assistant

- A minimum 2 years’ experience in digital merchandising, ideally at a high SKU 500+ retailer.

- Experience of digital analytics tools and reviewing digital metrics.

- Proven communicator with internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience of managing short and mid-term projects.

- Hands-on experience of digital merchandising and its connections to SEO, Marketing and Trade

- Knowledge of eCommerce systems and tools such as PIM, Search, Navigation.

- Intermediate/Advanced user of Excel and used to managing big data.

- Demonstrable experience of Google Analytics or similar tools.

- Experience using Content Square analytics is desired although not essential
