We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and innovative Pilot Plant Chemist in Drug Substance Manufacturing. The Pilot Plant Chemist works a 24/5 shift pattern which consists of 12 hour shifts alternating between days and nights, on a 3 week cycle. The role includes all aspects of operating a modern Pilot Plant facility, following detailed GMP batch instructions to complete tasks such as solids and liquids charging, reaction monitoring, reaction work-ups, crystallisations and waste management. The role also involves GMP in-process analysis using techniques such as HPLC, KF and GC to monitor the progress and success of on-going reactions. These are new and exciting opportunities based at our clients facility, a world class Pharmaceutical company based in Macclesfield. We have opportunities for an experienced Pilot Plant Chemist with at least 1 years' experience within the pharmaceutical or similar industry.
The ideal candidate will be extremely motivated and willing to learn new processes to allow them to operate safely and compliantly in the clients facility and will have a proven history of being able to work accurately and both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong technical, problem solving skills, an ability to think logically and having previous experience of operating in a hands-on manufacturing plant is a requirement.
