Stores and Logistics Operative

Randstad are recruiting for a Stores and Logistics Operative for a client based in Luton. They specialise in designing and manufacturing motors and pumps for a variety of sectors.

Purpose of the role:

The Stores Department is responsible with the management of the stores and all inventories, in-bound/outbound logistics, including packing, ensuring that stock levels are correct at all times and the product is protected and prevented from being damaged.

The Stores & Logistics operator receives/stores/locates/processes/kits and dispatches goods on time using set procedures as issued for use.

Main duties will consist of the following:

  • Receiving goods into stock using Epicor ERP system, ensuring transactions are accurate
  • Picking and issuing of parts to schedule
  • Material movement around site
  • Packaging parts for dispatch
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles
  • Maintain up to date records of perpetual inventory counts
  • Adherence to quality control and procedure compliance
  • Good housekeeping
  • Any other tasks as required by Stores & Logistics Manager

Minimum qualifications/experience:

  • Experience working in a stores and logistics environment
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Basic computer skills - word, excel
  • Fork truck licence / experience would be advantageous

This is a permanent position with a base salary of £22,600 + a 33% shift allowance, taking your earnings up to £30,000.

The shift pattern is as follows:

Alternate weeks:

  • Early shift (Mon - Thu 06.00 - 14.00, Fri 06.00 - 13.30)
  • Late shift (Mon - Thu 14.00 - 22.00, Fri 13.30 - 21.00)
