The Role

A fantastic opportunity to provide a procurement service to range of stakeholders across a world class organisation. You will support the P2P system and requests for spend, make recommendations where an improved purchasing solution can be identified and lead on the tendering process for projects worth up to £1m.


Manage and lead the tendering process for projects up to £1m in value e.g. review, identify and source a list of suppliers, draft tender, score responses, put forward recommendations

Agree supplier final contractual terms and conditions by either using TSA standard terms or negotiating specific terms and conditions with the supplier

Work closely with senior members of internal departments a part of the tendering process e.g. IT, Finance

Understand contract law and use this skill during supplier negotiations

Deputise for the Operational Procurement Manager, as and when required

Review buying trends, procurement levers and sourcing options to determine optimisation and leverage opportunities to drive savings, identify aggregation of spend and smarter procurement

Implement the above opportunities or working jointly with the procurement Category Management to implement them.

Review, process and approve requisitions in TSAs P2P system

Lead, drive and manage TSA related transactional buying and tactical savings programmes

Provide sourcing expertise and advice to stakeholders, for procuring goods and services not covered under a Catalogue, Framework and or Contract

Provide end User Support for users of the P2P system and assisting colleagues with procurement related queries

To be successful in this role you will have:

Proven successful experience of have worked in a Sourcing / Transactional buying role and leading tender processes

Experience of processing orders via major ERP system.

Strong and demonstrable communication skills both written and verbal

Strong and demonstrable analytical and data manipulation skills

Strong and demonstrable internal customer relationship management skills

Previous proven experience of managing projects

A responsive attitude to stakeholder questions/issues

A results orientated demeanour

Strong and demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise your own workload

Strong general Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel

Previous experience in delivering procurement activities for third sector organisations

Proven savings delivery

Tender Management experience

Evidence of activity taken to improve procurement processes
