Supported Housing Team Assistant

Christian Action Housing Association is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Team Assistant to join the team in our Enfield office. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £21,791 per annum.

Our Association was founded in 1966 by a group of local church groups in response to the desperate need in the local area for affordable rental housing. Christian Action has grown into a vital local provider of accommodation in four North London boroughs. We are a diverse, fun and friendly team whose mission is to provide high quality and affordable support and services to those in housing need.

As our Supported Housing Team Assistant you will be the first point of contact within a team, and provide excellent customer care to both our external and internal customers. Our Team Assistants are our administrative experts, helping to ensure our services run smoothly and solving problems as they arise.

Your responsibilities as our Supported Housing Team Assistant will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service in person, telephone and in writing to our residents
  • Raising purchase orders, purchasing goods from retailers and coding invoices for supported housing
  • Updating and preparing documents for all aspects of housing management and ensuring they are accurately filed
  • Collecting, collating and inputting data as required into various formats or reports for both internal and external monitoring
  • Providing effective administrative support to the team
  • Assisting with resident involvement initiatives

What we’re looking for in our Supported Housing Team Assistant

  • Great communication skills
  • We need you to be organised, and able to help keep things running smoothly
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer care
  • Ability to deal with customers’ complaints and resolve problems
  • Good problem solving skills, including the ability to use your initiative and exercise good judgment
  • Team player
  • Health and Safety awareness
  • A good knowledge of ICT applications (e.g. Word including mail merge, Excel, etc.) and being good with social media would be an advantage!
  • English & Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent
