A reputable wallpaper and design company in Blackburn are looking for someone to join their team on a 10 month temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The HR department looks after personal and professional needs of approximately 400 employees over 3 sites and 2 Factory Outlets in the in UK. The Job:
- Implement and ensure that the HR databases are current, constantly assessing the needs of the department to ensure that the system provides the information necessary
- Produce offer letters and contracts, promotion and change letters as required
- Collate investigation and disciplinary paperwork as required
- Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including liaising with temp agencies, recruitment providers, psychometric testing, interviewing and HR administration
- Assist with investigation meetings and type up notes as required
- Assist with the induction of new employees, ensuring they have a great experience
About you:
- Strong administration and numerical skills
- Proficiency in the use of HR Systems and MS office applications, to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- The ability to use good judgement
- A full clean UK driving licence (or equivalent)
- A strong interest in Human Resources and a willingness to get involved in diverse tasks and projects
- CIPD qualified/ working towards membership of CIPD
- Diverse use of judgement in decision making across all areas of responsibility
- Ability to use judgement to escalate issues when necessary
