HR ASSISTANT/ADMINISTRATOR

£30,000 START SALARY

MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Integral to the smooth running of the HR function across the business you will be a strong administrator who is able to prioritise effectively and work with realistic deadlines to ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner. You will be IT Literate and have a strong understanding of GDPR and confidentially. Your administrative, system and generalist duties will include;

Key Accountabilities:

  • Issuing of offer letters, contracts of employment.
  • Maintenance and development of the HR information system and the creation of personnel files.
  • Assist with the development of new HR processes and procedures.
  • Assist with new starter induction process, including creation of induction timetables.
  • Support HR team with the administration of the monthly payroll information, employee absence, Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, etc and ensuring all new employees/leavers are processed.
  • Support the administration of the company benefits scheme to ensure all new employees are included.
  • Administer all personnel correspondence accurately and in a timely manner (mortgage references, employment references, etc).
  • Assist in the Co-ordination of all routine occupational health appointments, supporting HR team with referrals as and when required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of relevant HR Intranet pages including career opportunities, training events and employee well-being.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level with a keen interest to develop a career in HR
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and commercially minded
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within both the HR team and with our full spectrum of employees proactively, demonstrating an ability to work in a constructive manner.
  • Good communication skills; written, verbal and presenting.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work environment.
  • Must be computer literate e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook / Lotus Notes email systems, HR Database systems.
