HR Advisor

HR Advisor: Permanent: Chester based with hybrid working available: Paying circa £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

Morson are currently working with our manufacturing client to support in their search for an experienced HR Advisor to join the organisation in a generalist capacity.

Working as part of a small team of HR Administrators and Advisors and reporting to the HR Business Partner, The HR Advisor will be required to actively contribute towards the provision of effective and professional HR support across 3 separate Companies. The HR Advisor will need to hit the ground running and will provide support across the full facet of generalist HR including providing specialist advice, ER case management and supporting specific project areas.

Additional responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a large and complex ER caseload
  • Liaising with stakeholders across the business to ensure ER issues are dealt with in a timely manner in accordance with best practice and company policy and procedure
  • Offering HR support and advice to all employees and line managers as required
  • Analysing HR data and providing reports for decision making and strategy development
  • Supporting on HR related projects
  • Supporting the implementation of the people related changes

To be considered for this role, it is essential that the successful candidate has a strong generalist HR background, with experience of working in a complex, unionised environment, preferably gained from within the manufacturing or engineering sectors. The below skills and attributes are also highly desirable:

  • Sound knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Experience in managing a large, complex, and diverse ER caseload from start to resolution
  • Good administrative skills and attention to detail are essential for this role and experience with working with SAP HRIS system desirable.
  • You will be able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Job Evaluation (Hay) qualification would be beneficial, however training would be provided
  • You will hold or be working towards CIPD level 5 or having comparable work experience.
  • A strong influencer with the ability to constructively challenge as appropriate
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with all levels
