Based - Hull

Permanent role - hybrid working with the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week.

Our client, a highly successful and expanding manufacturing organisation is looking to recruit an HR Advisor with a strong ER background with experience of working within a manufacturing environment.

The main purpose of the role is to provide a professional, pragmatic and commercially focused HR service to the business. You will be responsible for providing HR support and guidance on employee relations matters and will be confident in your own knowledge and ability to influence others.

Your remit will include -

ER case management, providing clear and concise advice to line managers on discipline, grievance, performance, and change management.

Take ownership of all absence issues, including short term absence management and implementing capability/long term sick procedures.

Ensure the welfare of employees is maintained by referring for medical/emotional support through occupational health and the Employee Assistance Programme.

Provide advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues.

Reviewing, updating and relaunching policies when required.

Coach and develop managers within all aspects of people management to drive performance and behaviour, empowering them to take ownership of people issues within their teams.

Ensure employee records and systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner.

You will be an active participant in developing and driving a company culture that emphasises safety, quality, continuous improvement, development and high performance.

Work closely with managers to provide HR support and advice that will empower them to manage their teams effectively.

Work within a dynamic environment, and be able to adjust priorities to meet business needs ensuring deadlines are met.

Able to be flexible with approach to the delivery of projects, understanding the challenges faced in different environments within the organisation, which on the whole are fast paced and demanding.

The successful candidate will have/ will be

Minimum 2 years experience in a HR Advisor or similar role within a manufacturing environment.

CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management

Ability to manage conflicting demands and competing priorities.

Confident and assertive individual able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.

A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good IT skills are essential, with particular knowledge of Microsoft packages. Project Management skills and experience are desirable.
