Head of HR

HRLife are exclusively partnering with a growing, people centric, values-driven SME to find them their next talented Head of HR. This is a great opportunity to be part of the Senior leadership team, influencing and shaping the people agenda in line with the broader business strategy taking ownership of the full HR spectrum including talent, recruitment, ER, development, wellbeing, D&I and health & safety.

Managing a small team, this is a great role for a generalist HR Professional who has experience of working in a small/medium business who is happy to turn their hand to most things, working both operationally and strategically with a real eye for detail. There is a real opportunity for someone to partner with the CEO and his Senior team, demonstrate the real value HR can bring whilst building great relationships with the wider employee base to really elevate the current HR offering as the business continues to grow.

Youll be responsible for;

  • Creating, implementing and embedding HR policies and programmes in line with market changes and future growth
  • Challenge and guide senior managers on the people implications of any business decisions, ensuring they take accountability and understand related risks
  • Aligning the people agenda with the business strategy, developing new initiatives to support company culture, retention, org design and development, TA, Reward etc.
  • Lead on all change management projects, advising and guiding as required
  • Delivering engagement initiatives, analysing data and feedback and providing recommendations to achieve business objectives
  • Prepare monthly board reports on a range of people activities
  • Acting as a mentor and sounding board on all employment law and continuous development activity
  • Embedding the company values and ensuring they remain at the heart of all communications, performance and appraisal reviews etc.
  • Overseeing the attraction and onboarding of new employees, ensuring a great candidate experience and a diverse, engaged workforce
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety processes, compliance and legal requirements are followed and regularly updated making it a great place to work and recognised as an industry leader

Essential you have worked previously in a generalist HR role at a senior level and have sound UK employment law experience. Youll need to have tons of Emotional Intelligence, be able to adapt your style, be a great listener, act as a confidante and share previous HR expertise to be able to build, enhance and positively contribute to what the business already has in place, ensuring the people remain at the heart.

Hybrid working. Based in Croydon 2-3 days a week.

Salary 65-75k plus benefits
