Senior Support Worker

With at least one years experience of working in a childrens residential setting as a care, support worker or residential childrens worker with a clear route to management we will:

Your role will involve ensuring the welfare and care of each child and also giving guidance and support to the whole team on your shift.

You will:

  • Make sure tasks are completed effectively including any shift health and safety checks
  • Address any issues on shift and shadow the Deputy/Registered Manager to develop your leadership skills
  • Making sure children are up on time for school, eaten breakfast and ready to engage in their school day
  • Ensuring homework is completed and assisting with these tasks
  • Encouraging after school activities and hobbies
  • Keeping up with paperwork in order for the home to run effectively
  • Ensure the house is kept clean and tidy

Essential Criteria:

  • NVQ 3 or 4 in children and Young Peoples Workforce, Childrens Residential Care or equivalent
  • At least one years experience of working in a childrens setting
  • Be flexible working shifts including days, weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins
  • Be over 21, hold a full UK manual driving licence and have the right to work in the UK
  • Be kind and caring
  • Experience of working with or caring for children as a support worker, residential care worker or personal experience, but more importantly have life skill from range of backgrounds as we can train on the rest
