Assistant Deputy Care Manager

Assistant Deputy Care Manager with excellent communication and customer services skills and experience within a similar role is required for a well-established company based in Birmingham, West Midlands.

The post is office based but on-call duties are required, and to carry out hands on care when required.

SALARY: £23,000 to £24,500 per annum (dependant on experience)

LOCATION: Birmingham, West Midlands

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week over 7 days, including weekends and on-call duties. Weekend and on-call duties are on a rota basis

Please Note: Full Driving Licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes is essential

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assistant Deputy Care Manager with excellent communication and customer services skills and experience within a similar role.

Working as an Assistant Deputy Care Manager you will work with Service Users who have a variety of conditions ranging from complex care requirements, learning disabilities and brain injuries, supporting them within their own homes. You will be required to work within a Person-Centred framework ensuring that care plans reflect the needs of the individuals.

As an Assistant Deputy Care Manager you will be responsible for managing service user staff teams, carry out supervisions, oversee rota management, conduct project spot checks, and visits to the service user homes. You will also attend and actively participate in regular staff/team meetings whilst developing and maintaining relationships with external professionals.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As an Assistant Deputy Care Manager you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong organisational and admin skills
  • Someone with strong values
  • A self-starter with the desire to progress within their career
  • Previous care or care coordinator experience
  • Excellent customer services skills
