Key details
This role is in a fantastic 50 bedded Care Home in Gosport that specialises in elderly and dementia care and the most recent CQC report is rated 'GOOD' in all areas. The Home comes with ample on-site parking and is also served by multiple bus routes.
They are seeking full-time, permanent Team Leaders, one each on Days and Nights. This is working long shifts and alternate weekends and will involve providing care to residents, administering medication and writing and reviewing care plans. Pay rates range from £12.15-12.45 per hour. (DOE)
You will help to run the home and lead the Care Assistants and Seniors to provide the very highest quality of care possible. As a Senior Care Team Leader, you will be in charge of carers helping service users with day-to-day needs by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. Being a Team Leader isn't just about leading a care team and promoting independence and choice for residents. It's about making sure we fully meet residents' medical, physical and emotional needs and championing their safety and dignity. At the end of the day we work in their home, not the other way around.
The residents have on offer multiple lounges, an attractive communal dining area and a large south facing conservatory which is a very bright, pleasant and airy room overlooking the grounds at the front. Many of the rooms have views of the well-established secure garden containing a water feature and raised beds which create a very pleasant area for residents to enjoy.
Care Team Leader Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support for carers and senior carers
Act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
Ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
Ensure clear and accurate records are kept.
Administering medication
Care Team Leader Skills & Experience
Experience of working with older people
Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans
Experience of leading a shift
Good organisational skills and supervisory skills
Ability to plan, allocate and delegate work appropriately to HCAs
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care
Medication trained
