Deputy Manager - Learning Disabilities - Liverpool

Hampton's are working with a large residential provider who are in need of a Deputy Manager for a Learning Disabilities home in Liverpool. The home is currently rated 'Good' with Ofsted.

This is for a large residential company, who provide high quality therapeutic care for children and young people, where the sole focus is on their well-being and positive outcomes.

Salary: up to £27k (dependent on experience) + bonuses + sleep-ins

Job Purpose:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that all recommendations from the Ofsted Inspection and, or Regulation 44 visits are implemented
  • Fill in for the Registered Manager in their absence
  • Contribute to the Care Planning process for the children and young people
  • Maintain all records in accordance with Company policy, regulations and statutory requirements
  • Respect and maintain the requirement for absolute confidentiality in relation to the performance of all of your duties
  • Attend and contribute to your own supervision sessions and appraisal processes
  • Ensure that your management team prepares and operates a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the exigencies of the service or as instructed by the Registered Manager or Operations Director.


  • NVQ in Residential Care or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 5 in Management (or willingness to undertake)
  • Experience with Ofsted
  • Driving Licence
  • Strong childcare knowledge and understanding of Learning Disabilities
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation and safeguarding
  • Strong organisational skills
