About the role:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative to join their team to carry out responsive maintenance to their housing stock. They are looking for somebody who has experience of Carpentry as their main trade. In addition to this, you will ideally be competent in fault finding and rectification on varied works relating to fencing, plumbing, finishing work such as plastering and rendering, floor and wall tiling, high level works (guttering/roofing works) and painting too although this is not essential for this role. It will be your responsibility to ensure all installation and maintenance repair works to tenanted properties are carried out to a high standard and that they meet the relevant regulations.
What theyre looking for:
Relevant City and Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ equivalent, preferably with post qualification experience
GCSE grade A* - C or equivalent in English and Maths
Experience in carpentry is essential
Experience of installations, maintenance and repairs obtained through working in industry
An understanding of both an employees and employers obligations towards Health and Safety and current legislation
Must be able to travel effectively and efficiently to all properties in our district
Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work will be required.
