Head of Branded Lines

As the retained partners to UK Greetings, Elevation are thrilled to be leading the search for their Head of Branded Lines. This is a key role within marketing that leads 3 teams across brand & product management, licensing and consumer & market insights, 22 people in total.

UK Greetings are the largest direct to retail publisher of greeting cards and social expression products in the UK. Their products can be found in most high street specialists, independent retailers, and major supermarkets. Branded as well as Private Label lines. UKG is a part of the American Greetings family, a world leading social expression publisher.

Working closely with the UKG Product Director and related teams, you will have overall responsibility of UKG's Brand lines. As Head of Branded Lines, you will be responsible for;

*Setting the strategic Marketing direction for UKG Brand that represents a large proportion of UKG sales and sku number, encompassing consumer and product insight, sales analysis and market trends.
*Identifying opportunities to drive future product opportunities to meet consumer and customer needs. This includes setting program objectives, utilising pricing tools to develop pricing strategies.
*Developing Consumer and Channel Insights Strategies; implementing a road map that protects and develops UKG's position as the authority on the Greetings Card Market
*Key account presentations at a senior level, to existing and prospect accounts. Developing and delivering compelling retail initiatives that meet the strategies for driving Retailer sales and market share.
*Communicating and promoting UKG brand to drive sales, ensuring presentation content is engaging and credible.

Skills and Experience for the Head of Branded Lines:

*Recent relevant experience working in a management role in a Marketing, Brand, Product role with good understanding of Retail and Product Development
*The role requires someone who has a very broad and balanced skill set -'Brain ambidextrous. You need to be analytical, logical, fact oriented as well as creative, flexible and intuitive
*Great management and people skills - to deal with very experienced direct reports, new starters, experienced and challenging creative genius's, retailer buyers, plus all the other senior contacts from leaders to CEO
*Multiple retailer buying or category management experience
*Experience of working in Consumer Goods, FMCG, Product or Brand Development for a retailer
*Translating customer strategies into product strategies
*Working closely with Marketing Communications, identify Marketing tools to promote product including Trade Shows, advertising and sales promotions
