Marketing Assistant

A leading manufacturer of industrial systems are now looking for a focused and ambitious Marketing Assistant to join their existing operations team based in Havant.

Reporting into the UK General Manager, the successful Marketing Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of marketing activities as well as maintaining customer and mailshot databases; controlling, monitoring, reporting on customer feedback system to ensure exceptional service is delivered to customers at all times and provide course and marketing materials for both inhouse and customer training.

This will include researching, drafting and distributing articles to Trade magazines; monitoring and recording press coverage; drafting newsletters, flyers and mailshots; uploading articles to website; managing web and social media presence and analysing usage; preparing and carrying out targeted telephone and mailshot marketing campaigns; organising and preparing for client events; compile, monitor, follow up and report on sales leads generated from events; customer retention activities including feedback questionnaires and areas for improvement as well as provide statistics on customer gains.

This business is offering a first-class opportunity for someone who can demonstrate at least 12 months commercial experience of working within a marketing capacity and can demonstrate a good understanding of the whole marketing mix including PR, communications and events.

Consideration would also be given to individuals with an office administration background which has required some involvement in marketing activities and now keen to further their career within marketing.

This position is offering a salary in the region of £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience as well as company pension and sickness scheme and 25 days holiday + bank.
