Marketing Manager

Lloyd Recruitment Services are currently working with a leading B2B Publisher of International Events and Magazines who are currently in search of a Marketing Manager to join their expanding team. Our client is looking for an accomplished marketing professional with a real 'can do' attitude and demonstrable experience at management level in events and / or B2B marketing.

As the Marketing Manager, you will be a natural networker who builds rapport quickly with peers and direct reports.

The successful Marketing Manager must be able to demonstrate a high degree of marketing expertise with strong technical proficiencies.

  • Salary £40K plus bonus

The role:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the design, development and management of Marketing and PR strategy and tactical campaigns, across a portfolio of major international trade exhibitions and conferences in line with market dynamics and pre-determined business objectives.

Of equal importance, the Marketing Manager will also be tasked with advising senior management on company-wide marketing strategy and initiatives and managing and directing the performance and professional development of a small Marketing Team.

Duties:

  • Research target audiences and identify routes to market
  • Plan and implement creative and innovative marketing campaigns across the full range of media including advertising, digital, direct mail, social media and PR
  • Taking strategic marketing responsibility for the events including creating ideas for content
  • Management and control of marketing budgets
  • Coordinating the production of all marketing materials
  • Account manage media partners
  • Develop clear communications for stakeholders
  • Professional data management
  • Maintaining product websites
  • Writing copy
  • Liaising with a range of suppliers including designers, printers, PR agencies, registration company, website company, social media professionals, data companies
  • Liaising with event partners
  • Developing feedback surveys
  • Management of registration and online ticketing
  • Tracking and evaluation of marketing campaigns

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A creative, daring and innovative approach to new campaigns
  • Good negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A high standard of computer literacy particularly with MS Office, web and social media and Database Management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Appreciation of international cultures

Experience:

  • Previous experience of marketing events (essential)
  • Educated to degree level (desirable) or qualified by experience in a marketing role

This role requires international travel up to twice a year
