B2B Digital Marketing Executive

Remote Based (Travel once a month to Birmingham)

Reporting to the Marketing Director, youre a hands-on marketer who will take responsibility for email marketing, automation, CRM, CMS & web page creation, PPC on Linked In & GDN and be involved in SEO initiatives. Your work will deliver measurable ROI, ultimately via quantifiable lead generation.

The role:

  • Deliver online marketing tactics email marketing, CRM/database, website management, [social media] to support lead generation activities via campaigns for vendors and from our static and dynamic ecommerce websites
  • Plan and deliver email marketing campaigns and automated workflows (customer journeys), including creation of email templates in HTML
  • Maintain an email marketing calendar that supports campaigns
  • Originate, implement and improve automated marketing triggered by web behaviour and customer profiles/assets across static and dynamic websites
  • Review and report on email performance to demonstrate ROI
  • Daily operational management and creation of audiences within Microsoft Dynamics; segmenting, retargeting, managing workflows, and working with CRM admin to ensure database is accurate
  • Ownership of uploading content via a CMS system, optimising and adjusting web content on the fly to align with SEO best practices and our SEO Keyword strategy
  • Working with Digital Marketing agency to enhance SERPs and PPC performance (Google & Bing), delivering key adjusts to optimise these channels
  • Write in html and CSS as needed to maintain & adjust commercial pages, the blog & landing pages, implementing pop-ups
  • Produce monthly digital marketing reports covering; email engagement, Paid media and social media Impressions, CPC, conversion, CPL, spend, social media followers
  • Build relationships with internal staff, suppliers and designers
  • Assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with users
  • Development and delivery of social media strategy (paid and organic)
  • Planning and delivering a proactive calendar as well as reactive posting across multiple social media accounts
  • Providing social media reports across impressions, engagement, followers
  • Creation of graphics, infographics, gifs et al to support social media initiatives for awareness and lead generation purposes
  • Using SproutSocial to schedule SoMe posts and report
  • Responsible for coaching, training and driving staff across the company on social media usage make their success your success

Essential Skills:


  • Degree or similar in Marketing, communications or related field
  • Experience of working in B2B Marketing Communications
  • Proven experience of use and management of email marketing platform and marketing automation/workflows
  • Knowledge of best practice email marketing principles
  • Strong hands-on experience of Microsoft Dynamics; managing data/campaigns, workflows, creating dashboards, ROI reports
  • Strong knowledge of HTML & CSS for web page creation/amends, implementing forms, pop-ups et al
  • Daily hands-on experience with HTML and content management systems
  • Experience of on-site SEO principles and implementation
  • Experience of PPC; creating display ads, implementing & managing across Linked In & GDN, understanding of best practice principles around Google ads
  • Demonstrable experience of paid social media tactics and results
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign & Premiere Pro) for creating web banners, email templates & newsletter headers etc
  • Experienced user of Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, GSC et al)
  • Solid understanding of the wider digital marketing mix
  • Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail, with ability to adapt style to suit different audiences
  • Excellent communication, influencing, persuasion and engagement skills
  • Capability and enthusiasm to deal with communicating complex technology
  • Tech sector experience or a demonstrable aptitude or interest to understand technology and often complex subject matter
  • Experience in B2B lead generation and/or ecommerce a bonus


  • Proven use of a social media marketing platform
  • Knowledge of Canva (creative content)
  • Familiarity with social media development strategies and online content marketing
