E-Commerce Marketing Manager

POST Recruitment are working with a global lifestyle brand in their search for an Ecommerce Marketing Manager to join their team on a 10 month maternity contract. This role will suit an analytical and resourceful candidate who possesses a high degree of initiative, strategic thinking and tenacity needed to work effectively in a small department that has big growth goals.

Reporting to the Ecommerce Sales Director the primary function of the Ecommerce Marketing Manager is to set strategy and execute Amazon UK marketing programs. The E-Commerce Marketing Manager will also facilitate the execution of these strategies for selected pure-play eCommerce channels as well as collaborating with regional and local marketing teams to support the development of Ecommerce opportunities within the existing customer portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Ecommerce Sales Director with account management duties including product merchandising, sales & inventory planning, and content/media strategy development associated with driving customer engagement and conversion for all products
  • Recommend and implement strategies and initiatives that will drive traffic, conversion, retention, revenue, and profitability
  • Take ownership of Ecommerce sales goals - forecasting and reporting
  • Contribute to regular internal and external Ecommerce sync calls
  • Collaborate with Ecom & Marketing to elevate visibility and sales effectiveness in the digital channels
  • Implement channel strategies, plans, budgets, and forecasts set out to increase penetration in pureplay e-Commerce channels to ultimately drive growth
  • Manage retail site marketing tools for Amazon UK (e.g. AMS, DSP) to maximize sales and awareness for priority products.
  • Implement pre-launch strategy to the highest standards which is set prior to product launch and formalized against a high, medium, low priority plan. This will formalize the strategy in terms of ramp timing, seeding investment, marketing KPI bench marks, and search goals.
  • Engage in a quarterly Amazon EU marketing review with leadership team to summarize previous quarters results and set next-quarter goals and initiatives. The objective will be to align on a "spend to performance" plan, set goals and define tactic expectations, and review budgetary needs based on top line revenue growth
  • Oversea product set up and maintenance of online assets (creative, copy, product imagery, pricing, promotions, etc.) to Amazon and retail dotcom websites, completing a QA process prior to setting live
  • Manage overall channel content health and own e-com dashboard set-up and operation to assure best in class retail dotcom content, product search optimization, and metadata
  • Set strategic bundling recommendations, and institute a regular process to infuse. This includes set up of all channel bundle opportunities that maximize revenue, and an ongoing analysis of performance for executive share out and future learnings
  • Generate overall eCommerce strategies and drive execution including but not limited to distribution, pricing, merchandising, trade promotions, content, SEO/SEM and analytics for key Etail customers
  • Ensure alignment between brand/platform/category/product plans and channel plans
  • Continuously measure effectiveness and ROI of initiatives and apply learnings in ongoing strategies and plans

Your Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Extensive experience including digital marketing or eCommerce / Amazon
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects within required timeframes
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to breakdown complex problems and formulate plans
