Sporting Events Sales Executive

Working out of their Glasgow offices, my client is a leading UK provider of Sporting Corporate Hospitality, with a long track record of providing blue chip UK and European events to the UK’s top businesses.

We are looking for someone who can help build on their success over the last 10 years, supporting efforts to establish and close business growth opportunities, obtaining new clients, and building new business relationships to increase sales revenues.

Working from the London offices as a Sales Executive, you'll identify, engage and close business opportunities, help to generate new relationships with Corporate and High Net Worth Clients to help the business to continue to grow.

Your communication skills will allow you to develop a position in the appropriate client markets, engaging with successful businesses to increase our sales and brand awareness.

Business Development Skills and Qualifications:

You'll need to have the professionalism and drive to be able to seek new business, developing senior level relationships to meet and exceed the targets set – our BDA’s can earn over £50K in their first year (fast track promotion is available to the right person).

Specialist Skills:

  • Excellent communicator, focusing on the development of Sales Best Practice supported by a company culture of training and development
  • Experienced in the development of New Business sales, with a track record of securing all targeted metrics from lead generation to closing the sale
  • You can deliver effective up selling strategies and new product solutions
  • You can work with B2B customers, and third parties up to “C level” to outline the benefits of treating our clients & their customers and staff to Top Sporting Events
  • Skilled in planning, monitoring, and delivering all aspects of business development on time with solid CRM information

Other Skills:

  • An effective telephone manner, with an ability to develop B2B contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
  • Solid written and verbal communication - communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
  • Effective negotiating skills (planning your pitch and using CRM’s effectively)
  • The ability to think quickly and act decisively to secure a deal


As a competitive role, a related qualification is an advantage. Relevant subjects include:

(A postgraduate degree is not a requirement)


  • A record of delivering significant growth in a quality sales environment (Note Graduates will also be considered).
