Experience of Apprenticeship and or Graduate training programmes is required for this role. Initially on a fixed term contract for 12 months, the successful person will work closely with the Head of Training Development and will be the go to person within the team for all things Apprentice/Graduate training related.
Reporting to the Head of Training Development, the role is key to help deliver a variety of learning and development initiatives across the business, ensuring we have a skilled and competent workforce. Forming a key part of the team to support the implement of the learning strategy and platform to deliver a blended approach to learning at all levels across the business.
Provide full administrative support for all training offerings across the Network Services division.
Effective organisation and co-ordination of training activities.
Build effective relationships with several internal and external partners and customers.
Manage the NS Training mailbox.
Produce and manage the database for training cost agreements in line with the Learning and Development and Further Education Policies.
Manage the NS TAD (Training and Accreditation Database), iHASCO and other systems whilst ensuring the data integrity is maintained.
Develop reporting of training spend (product and time), attendance and evaluation of activities for non-technical and technical training.
Process invoices and raise Purchase Orders via Oracle (if required) for approved training to ensure financial information is up to date.
Line manage and support the safe, smooth, and successful operation of the apprenticeship and graduate programmes.
Continually seek to improve our programmes in line with best practice and through coordinating formal feedback mechanisms.
Lead and support the annual and ad hoc graduate and apprentice recruitment cycles - From the development of marketing materials and attending career fairs, through to supporting assessment centres and on-boarding processes ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Undertaking ad hoc projects for example L&D initiatives.
Assisting the Head of Training Development in developing programmes to meet current and future skills gaps and needs across the business.
Support in identifying training and development needs and new product development training packages, assess skills gaps in line with forecasted work and trends within the business.
Provide administrative support to the Head of Training Development as required including but not limited to, weekly and monthly progress reports.
Proven skills in effectively meeting deadlines in an organised way.
Experience in organising training events, monitoring arrangements, dealing with queries and issues, and maintaining records.
Financial awareness and experience of processing payments.
Experience of running Graduate and Apprentice recruitment processes, ideally in skills shortage areas.
