Finance Manager

I am exclusively partnered with a North Wiltshire business to appoint them a permanent and full time Finance Manager.

The client is a very well-established subsidiary of an international company and have a thriving client base and reputation. Operating as an innovator in a highly niche sector with a turnover just under £20m, they offer a great place to work with lovely offices and a well-oiled factory and production set up.

As Finance Manager, you will be the number 1 finance person on site reporting to the Managing Director and will have dotted line reporting to the Group Financial Controller, so it is paramount that you are confident in your skills and experience to be able to hit the ground running.

This is a broad and highly visual role, which gives you great exposure to all stakeholders across the business and will lead a small team of experienced individuals. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of the finance department and associated accounting activities, which will include but not be limited to;

Producing both financial and management accounting information

Managing a robust cashflow and timely cashflow forecasting

Completing statutory year-end accounts and audit process

Annual budgets production

Managing robust financial controls to ensure integrity of all financial systems, processes, and outputs

Producing and submitting monthly payroll submissions to the outsourced provider

Preparing and submitting standard and complex VAT returns

Ensuring timely payments to all suppliers

To be successful you will need to be qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar) or qualified by experience, from a small to medium company background (note turnover above) and ideally have exposure to working in a subsidiary environment.

Experience of leading a team from the front is essential, as is having confidence in your own accounting and finance knowledge and skills.

Strong and clear communication skills are expected and the ability to present and discuss finance with non-finance stakeholders is prerequisite.

You must have proven IT skills including advanced level excel and experience of working with an ERP system will be highly advantageous to your application.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an accounting professional that has the above skills and is either a Finance Manager already, or someone who is maybe a team leader and ready to take the step up and make their mark as a Finance Manager.

If you are someone who can bring the above to the table and are looking to secure a broad and autonomous role, this is the position for you and you will reap the rewards of being part of a great Senior Management Team, within a business that is secure and, in a position, where you can settle and commit long term.

A salary of circa £50,000 per annum is on offer (negotiable dependent on suitability and experience) and the role can accommodate some hybrid working as well as pension, healthcare cover and a bonus. There is on site car parking.

Interviews will be taking place asap, so please note your interest with an up-to-date CV and do call if you would like to discuss your suitability further.
