Accounts Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and ambitious individual to step in to a new role as an Accounts Assistant. The company values its staff and aims to create a family while producing innovative and high standard technology and product. The role will include but not be limited to processing invoices and preparation and posting of required documentation. Consisting of 42.5 hours a week between 07:00-16:30 Monday to Friday, the role can be worked remotely or in the Reading Office. Dependent on experience the salary will be up to £26,000 per annum.

Duties of the role:

Work alongside and closely with the Finance Manager to cover the Nominal, Sales and Purchase Ledger.

Prepare and post journal transactions, invoices.

Conduct checks on a timely and recurring basis.

Complete reconciliations of accounts and balances.

Compile information for audit, tax and other regulatory requirements.

Ensure all processing is kept up to date.

Process invoices, credit notes, expenses, payments and debt collection.

Use technology and software to aid in completing tasks.

You must:

Be willing to travel to the Reading Office on occasion if required during remote working.

Work to KPIs and take pride in producing good performance.

Check your own work understanding the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.

Display focus when working.

Have experience working in a similar role.

Demonstrate the desire to learn and develop within the role.

Show good teamworking skills and independent working, supporting colleagues where possible.

Experience working with Sage 200 is desirable but not required.

The company also offers 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and quarterly bonus dependant on performance and KPIs.
