Are you a passionate Accounts Coordinator, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Accounts Coordinator to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Biggleswade working as part of their Finance team.

As Accounts Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the finance team with a broad array task, including Credit control, raising invoices, purchase ledger etc.

A well established FMCG Food manufacturer with continued growth and success.

Principle Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant :-

  • Daily Credit Control, chasing UK and Foreign debts, mitigating the risk of payment default and ensuring all notes and follow up dates are entered into the Credit Management System.
  • Posting and allocating cheque and BACS payments in both Sterling and Euros to customer accounts. Taking cheques to the bank.
  • Uploading invoices to Tungsten system for customers who require invoices through their bespoke software
  • Daily invoicing including validation of prices applied.
  • Resolving all sales ledger queries in a timely manner - expected turn around 24 hours.
  • PODs - checking and scanning PODs to the system on the weekly basis to aid timely resolution of queries.
  • Raising manual invoices/credit notes and scanning all including backing documents on a weekly basis.
  • Commission calculations each month for previous period sales.
  • HSBC Submissions - submitting total sales/credit notes figures to HSBC on a weekly basis with a full reconciliation of HSBC external financing accounts with internal ledgers on a monthly basis.
  • Preparing final period end Aged Debt report for Board Pack each month.
  • Processing Statements to each customer once a month.
  • Updating Sales and receipt figures for weekly cash flow.
  • Credit checking existing and potential customers, deciding on the credit limit to be given to new customers and ensuring credit applications are held on file.
  • Daily check of credit limits in the system, requesting changes where required and updating system accordingly. Reviewing any orders that go onto credit hold and releasing where appropriate.

Person specification:-

  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced Finance department.
  • Previous experience of using Sage 1000.
  • Strong Computer skills, including Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Strong organisation and time keeping skills.
  • Able to work will in a team as well as independently.
  • Self motivated with the ability to take initiative.

This is a full time, permanent Accounts Coordinator position:
Salary of up to £27,000 depending on experience.
Working hours 8.30am - 5.00pm with an early finish on Friday.
