Payroll Coordinator

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join an existing team.

The Payroll Assistant will support the team by ensuring timely and accurate processing, answer internal and external queries in a professional manner and ensure databases are updated on a regular basis with correct information.

Key duties:

  • Prepare weekly payroll
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
  • BACS & ad hoc payments
  • Inputting new starters and leavers onto system
  • Weekly profit sheet report
  • Statutory payments including SMP & SSP
  • VAT returns
  • Credit control to keep overdue debt to a minimum
  • Client portals - input data
  • Assisting with preparation management accounts (desirable)

Profile:

  • Accurate and able to work to deadlines
  • Understanding of computerised Accounts Payable/Payroll systems
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage own workload

IT Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Sage 50 Cloud

Monday - Friday: 09.00-17.30 hours.
