Hybrid Working - Flexi-time
My client provides a wide range of accountancy and administration services to contractors, freelancers, and small business owners across the UK.
They are now seeking an PSC Accountant who is ideally qualified or part qualified, ACA or ACCA who will be e responsible for a managing a client portfolio of approximately 150 clients.
This role encompasses the supervision and management of junior accountants whilst supporting the Head of Finance and the Operations Director.
You will have a proven background in accounting and managing a portfolio of clients and be responsible for dealing with complex queries, preparation on annual accounts, performance management as well as advanced knowledge of VAT, PAYE, shareholding and dividends, varied accounting and taxation knowledge and competent user of MS Word and Excel.
Basic salary up to £36,000 plus flexi-time and benefits and hybrid working
Strong attention to details and ability to solve problems and provide a professional, punctual, and accurate service to clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to coordinate, supervise and report performance to seniors.
Excellent time keeping and management ability with the ability to prioritise workload to ensure all task are conducted on a daily basis and all deadlines are met.
Previous experience of managing a team
Client focused attitude and commercial awareness within the firm.
Knowledge of currently legislation including IR35.
Knowledge of capital gains and inheritance tax
Knowledge and experience of HMRC audit and investigations
Previous experience of performance management
Knowledge and experience of accounting software including just accounts and free agent.
Management of junior PSC accountants and their performance.
Provide complex tax advice and prepare annual accounts.
Complete self-assessment tax returns.
Answer telephone calls and emails, dealt with complaints and complex issues from clients.
Dealing with HMRC queries and correspondence
Monitoring and analyse data in relation to KPIs.
Updating of CRM systems.
Report to managers & senior managers on personal and team performance
