Investment Operations Analyst

My client is a leading global Investment Management business looking to hire a Guideline Coding Analyst with a strong understanding of derivatives and fixed income securities to join their long-lived Guideline Management team. This role would suit someone with 1-2 years’ experience since graduating.

The Investment Operations Analyst will be expected to:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of both compliance systems, understanding the various risk limits and the coding capabilities.
  • Ensure all new mandates/amendments are coded into systems within the agreed timeframes with a high level of accuracy.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Fund Managers and Client Directors to ensure that coding has accurately interpreted and is signed off within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Complete post trade monitoring of incidents generated by the compliance systems, ensuring incidents are proactively escalated and recorded in the relevant systems.
  • Provide front office teams with daily Excel based reports on exposure monitoring.
  • Produce MI around coding and post trade monitoring.
  • Report non-automated investment restrictions to the relevant parties and actively aim to reduce these over time.

The successful Investment Operations Analyst will possess:

  • BSc in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • An understanding of fixed income securities and derivatives.
  • Looking to complete/completed IMC or CFA
  • Strong problem solving approach with excellent organisational skills.

Other desirable skills required by the Investment Operations Analyst:

  • Previous coding or post trade monitoring experience using industry known compliance systems is desirable but not essential.

The role will be a hybrid split of working in the offices three times per week, and working from home twice per week.
