Head of Finance/HR

Growing Lincolnshire company seek Head of Finance/Payroll/HR.

Hays Senior Finance are working with a fast growing East Lincolnshire company looking for an experienced finance/payroll/HR professional.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for a range of day to day and project responsibilities including control of the purchase and sales ledger functions, credit control (including credit insurance/risk), invoice finance, bank reconciliations, cashflows and forecasts, sales reporting and analysis, payroll, assisting with the production of management accounts, Intrastat and VAT returns, year end processes including stock, reconciliations and liaising with the auditors. You will be responsible for petty cash, project/contract data and statistics submission and reconciliations. You will be responsible for ad hoc project work and analysis and work with all areas of the business including Health & Safety.
In addition, you will assist in the implementation of new accounts software and a new Purchase Order system (Sage). The ideal candidate will also manage HR practices and processes in conjunction with an outsourced consultant. You will also manage, mentor, train and supervisor others.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced finance and payroll professional, ideally with some HR knowledge (not essential). You will be professional, self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a mature approach to work, with the experience required to run a small but very busy accounts department. This is a varied 'hands on' role that includes challenges outside of the normal accounts function such as helping to manage large contracts. The right candidate will have an excellent knowledge of financial systems and office procedures. An accounting qualification is useful but not essential. The company will provide support for further training and professional qualifications. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative, but also to work constructively as part of a small team. An awareness of legislation relating to relevant issues throughout the company is important. It is expected that after an initial period, the Head of Finance will recruit an accounts trainee or part-time assistant to help with the departments functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective decision making with excellent attention to detail Good personal organisation and time management skills and the ability to build and form good relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues are essential. You will be living in close commute to the Lincolnshire area as the role is predominantly office based.
