To drive this transformational change, the firm wishes to appoint a Client Audit Senior Assistant to assist the Client Audit Manager; an operational role intended to design and implement change at both an operational and strategic level with a focus on ensuring the firm's internal policies are designed and audited to reflect the operational and strategic requirements of their key clients.

  • They are known for the exceptional quality of their responses to client audits;
  • Their response to their clients third party supplier policies is one of continuous evaluation and improvement across all areas of the business; and
  • Any opportunities for improvement of internal processes to align with client requirements are identified, risk assessed/mapped, internal stakeholders engaged and any approved changes project managed to implementation and adoption as business as usual processes, to ensure a seamless audit service is delivered to its clients.

Main Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative, major UK law firm to assist with the new service to ensure the client audit experience is radically different to its present form.

The successful candidate will be expected to join the "one-stop shop" team for all key and strategic client audits liaising with stakeholders across all levels and areas of the firm to deliver a successful audit result. In order to achieve this, they will need to draw on the skills of subject matter experts across the firm to ensure they have obtained the in-depth knowledge of the business processes of the firm to respond appropriately and present this independently to the client audit team. The successful candidate will also be part of the wider Risk and Compliance team, working closely with the business development, information security and IT teams to design and develop innovative solutions that work for them and their clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • To assist with the management of the key and strategic client audit process from start to finish. Prepare written responses to client audit questionnaires and present face to face with the client on the results.
  • Applying best-practice methodologies and appropriate technologies to ensure audit services are delivered on time, utilising the best people with the correct expertise and to a standard that exceeds clients expectations.
  • Working with the subject matter experts across the firm, develop the capability to ensure that alignment is achieved with client policy requirements wherever possible and all client policies are risk assessed and risk mapped against existing and planned internal services, policies and processes.
  • Identify gaps in internal processes and suggest appropriate remediations, achieving buy-in from the senior management team and working with the relevant stakeholders across the firm to implement effective change management.
  • Working with the subject matter experts across the firm, develop standard response templates to common areas of client audit interest, particularly in the information security and IT areas.
  • Manage the responses from stakeholders and subject matter experts such as policy and process amendment/change, taking responsibility for oversight and quality control of outputs.
  • Support stakeholders and clients with scoping, resourcing, and planning physical and remote/virtual audits and projects;
  • The successful candidate will report in to the firm's Risk Director/ Client Audit Manager
